Hi there-

I was told someone sold and played for you a recording of Hallelujah as a singover. I've never heard of that before, but these days, it's possible.

I was also told that I claimed to write Hallelujah. I never claimed that, and I didn't do that singover at all.

What I did do: every night after reading the Bible, I'd play a few songs as if prayers, such as Annie Lennox, Jason Warner, Sara McLachlan, Joni Mitchell, and I loved the song Hallelujah so much, I'd sing along with it.

Apparently, some people were illegally bugging our house, and recorded me singing it. BTW, it isn't about a religious movement it's about justice, as in "Here to love you", let us build the kingdom, let us make the laws for the world to heed".....

The same group of people stole and sold almost every song I"ve written since the 1960's....and I've never received a dime for any of it.. just tortured and suppressed for what are now obvious reasons.

I was also told you heard the recording,, and thought I should be a recording artist... they can't figure out I was completely happy to be just a songwriter... imagine  that. and I figured if some of my songs became hits, one day I'd release an album or two of my greatest hits, plus a few new ones to make it saleable....

Keep in mind, these same people have told me lies over the years... family lies.. to make it appear I'm delusional. They even told me Iwon a grammy, except one of the pirates said they wrote it. I might have to fall in love, darling I love you, etc....

Anyway, always one of your and the Doobie Bros fan...
