Go here for a very detailed,
technical explanation on Dialectics
A dialectic is like setting up a practical joke. The problem is, dialectics are also
used to manipulate massive populations into believing things and taking actions that other
people want them to do to achieve their own goals.
A perfect example of a dialectic is the Iraq War, and the way we were conned into
believing there was a reason for war, was done as if scripted by Hitler's master
propagandist.
While you read this, think about how it applies to the way the Iraq War began.
Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in
America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the
country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along,
whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist
dictatorship. ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the
leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and
denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works
the same in any country.
--- Hermann Goering, presumed potential successor to Adolf Hitler.
Germany staged a fake attack from Poland, told them they were in peril, caused the
economy to fail in order to make the people dependent on the government for life and
safety, and enlisted the citizens into vigilante groups to protect themselves from each
other. The only terrorists were the government officials, they killed their own citizens
to scare everyone and make it look real, and then scared everyone into destroying everyone
not loyal to the regime, etc.
And the thing of it is, a dialectic has you coming or going. No matter how you respond,
you get caught.
For example, if you think that a government using that model to conscript a nation is
like Nazis, then you're buying into the illusion of a Nazi styled maneuver to make you
afraid that these crazy people in the government are crazy, and it scares you and
intimidates you, then it worked to keep you quiet and acquiesce.
If you don't believe the government is that corrupt, then the people who do think
you're ignorant. Best of all for a terrorist government, either way, they end up with
silenced antagonists and emboldened supporters.
Like you saw in the news coverage during Election 2000. You know, the Republican
protesters outside the vice-president's home, actually threatening the Democratic
protesters on camera, with the reporter literally egging them on while the outnumbered
Democrats would retreat, wondering what the heck was going and given the impression that
their physical safety was in danger, and the Republicans would be allowed to get away with
it.
I can just see the blood pressure of some Republicans going up. I did that on purpose.
That's a dialectic. I wanted to show you how easily I could cause you to get angry because
you've been conditioned to take a position, not discuss an issue.
Still, what I said is true.
But, hang in there for a moment. Many Democrats are conditioned the same way.
Election 2000 as a Dialectic
People think that the most important thing Election 2000 accomplished was making sure
George Bush got to live in the White House so his cronies could bankrupt the working and
pverty class... again. That's partly true. It's kind of the cover story for the rest of
it, though.
What it accomplished even more, though was the elimination of third party candidacies,
and forwarded the goal to eventually consolidate the parties.
Think about it.
Even the most liberal and progressive people... even in the Green Party... campaigned
to tell everyone to abandon their third and independent parties to make sure the Democrats
won the next elections to get rid of those naughty Republicans.
So far, they've garnered 8 years of your political loyalty with the distraction that we
had to save the country from the Republicans. But look at the votes, folks, the
Republicans and Democrats agree on the same goals, and the differences between their
methods are minimal.
If you look back through history, the simple pattern is this dialectic: make something
bad happen to nationalize and unite the public, use a Republican to use a heavy hand,
break people's civil rights, use brutal rhetoric... and when the people become weary and
less productive for the corporations because of the stress puposely inflicted upon us,
they give us a Democrat who gives a little back to the people to make them feel better for
awhile until they're rested up and ready to make lots of money for the corporations again.
