It's easy for me to honor and respect every individual in the United States Military.
These are people who made a commitment to the government and the citizens of the
United States, and they keep it by placing their lives on the line according to the
instruction of their superiors.
Our armed forces have proven themselves, once again, to be a highly effective and
powerful force when called upon to protect American interests. They should be
congratulated and honored for their recent achievements.
Let's make it clear. I opposed the war on Iraq. But, I support our troops:
they did not make the decision to make war. They put their lives on the line for you and
I.
Such patriotism and selflessness can not possibly be diminished by the words of deeds
of politicians..
