Just when you probably thought that must be the end of the story....
[This section was added 1/25/2003]
When I review what you've just read, I have to believe that you can
understand why I still harbor some frustration and anger about the things that have
happened in my life. I feel quite certain that I did not cause any of the
bizarre things that happened to me. Although, there is always room to look at how
your own actions may contribute to what occurs.
They were the result of corruption on the part of other people.
I did just fine until people around me started breaking the law. It's very much like
what happened with Enron and Worldcom. It's hard to imagine that the fraud scandals
that occurred with them could possibly happen, that people would be that evil. But it
happens, and some people are that evil.
Kris
Kristofferson - Why Me Lord
When I look at all that has happened, I admit, I wonder, why me? But,
then I realize that what has happened to me happens to people every day of the week.
In my case, it just happened time after time, year after year. It's inexplicable.
When I've told people the full details of even one of the things I was trapped in,
people always ask "When does the movie come out?"
When I began the web site last July (2002), I knew that I was going
to be doing things that would upset people. I worked easily 20 hours per day for
months, to the point of exhaustion. Over all, I believe I impacted nearly a million
people leading up to the November 2002 elections, encouraging them to vote and to
encourage them to exercise their rights to freedom of speech. That was direct and
in-direct impact.
I am very proud of that.
I have interacted with politicians in ways that, quite frankly, they
don't seem to appreciate. One day I will write about that, and you will find it very
interesting. As for me, I have to look at it all as something of a mystery. For
example: at one point in the debate about "The Iraqi Resolution", I became
exhausted, and believed I had effectively communicated my opinions and recommendations to
a variety of political figures and news agencies.
I put a message on the front of my web site that said "Gone
Fishin'". The next day, Senator Robert Byrd began his filibuster of the Iraqi
Resolution, and included the phrase "we might as well have put a sign on the door of
the Senate that says Gone Fishin'"
Did he get that from my web site? I'll probably never know for
sure. I'd have to admit, if something like that happened once or twice, I'd call it a
coincidence. It happened many, many times.
The same sort of thing happened numerous times with a number of news
agencies. These agencies would either use phrases I had invented to describe events
in the news, or they would "look into" the things I had posted questions about
on the web site or by other means, and a day or two later, they would do a report
confirming my observations. Coincidence or response? An amusing thing to ponder when I 'm
bored.:}
But, in the final analysis, I am committed to causing the American
system to reject any further corruption that impedes the ability of the government from
truly representing the will of the people.
I am committed to a free press. And I am committed to a culture that
does not reward those who would take advantage of or abuse the very people who have
entrusted them.
Meanwhile, I won't be saying much more about this part of what I've
been doing for the last 6 months. I am very proud of what I've accomplished.
I have only one thing on my mind: the empowerment of
Americans. As you read other materials on this site, you will likely come to realize
that that is the most important thing I feel compelled to do. And I will not acquiesce.
